So. Went down to check on things around 9- and there were 2 new babies in Genevieve’s pen!! Another boy and girl. They both weighed over 4.5 lbs. We helped dry them off (C. and I- she was thrilled). They are just now looking to nurse- but I let reason take over. Genevieve, like Rosie, is a fantastic mom who raised a fantastic kid last year. They are in a deep, warm bed of straw- and mommas have and nurse babies all the time. I’m exhausted, so was C, and the girls will do just fine without me there watching every breath those 4(!!!!!!!!) babies take. (ok, i will fret all night, but I really am beat).
Pictures tomorrow. I need to faint, now.
Hooray for Rosie and Genevieve! Those are some sweet and adorable babies.
Aaaaaawww babies!!!
I was a fusser over my sheep when they were due but I missed EVERY lambing. LOL I swear they did it on purpose.
Since lambing time for me was still wintery and COLD I hijacked an ugly sweater and the sweat pants of my husband to make little lamb sweaters from the sleeves and pant legs. I only had one that REALLY needed his sweater (new mommy, TINY, hypothermic lamb) but all 4 lambs had them and out grew them quickly.
Isn’t baby time exciting?? I’m so happy that things have gone so smoothly! Congrats!
oh wow! when you wake up – photos please!
nothing and then….whammo! 4 new mouths to feed. so adorable, are you keeping them all? what’s the count up to by now anyway?
Another set of twins!!!! Oh my gosh, you must be so excited!!! My cousin had her baby last night too!!! She had a girl that she named Audrey. Babies are so much fun, no matter what species they are, right? Do your newest goat babies have names yet?
